Description

“SOUND+VISION TOUR 1990” features a lineup of gorgeous greatest hits. This is the appearance of a superb live album that conveys the earliest period. This tour is familiar with many professional shots and soundboards, but in fact such professional records are biased towards the latter half of the tour. We have also introduced professional shots/soundboards such as “COMPLETE VISION IN DOME”, “MILTON KEYNES 1990 2ND NIGHT” and “ROCK IN RIO 1990” from the Japanese performances, but they are all from the later part of the world tour. In contrast, this work is very early. This is an audience album from the “Vancouver performance on March 15, 1990”. Let’s start by looking at the overview of the entire world tour to see how early it was.・March 4-15: North America #1 (7 shows) ←★Here★・March 19-April 22: Europe #1 (22 shows)・April 27-May 9: North America #2 (7 shows)May 15+16: Japan show (2 shows)・May 20-July 29: North America #3 (40 shows)August 4-September 16: Europe #2 (24 shows)September 20-29: South America (6 shows)The above is the full picture of “SOUND+VISION TOUR 1990”. You can see that the above-mentioned Japanese shows, Milwaukee, and South America are all from the late to late stages of the tour. In contrast, this work is the final day of “North America #1”, which is the kickoff. It is a live album that cuts out the timing of 7 shows out of a total of 108 shows. And the quality is not free. Our shop delivers selected masters under the supervision of a world authority on Bowie research, and this work is no exception. However, the one who stands out from the rest is the recording artist. In fact, this work was recorded by the famous JEMS. It is a recording that has appeared in recent years from that treasured collection. In fact, the sound of this work is so wonderful that it proves its history. Although the reality of the “scene” that floats when you close your eyes is definitely an audience recording, its crystal clear clarity is far from the “common sense of customer recordings”. It can’t be said that there is zero sense of distance, but the straight feeling that the details jump straight in is the best. Moreover, the breath of the large audience can be felt firmly, but it does not get in between the musical sounds. I don’t know the detailed recording position, but the enthusiasm that rises like steam from below and the music that is dazzling like a laser beam. It is a live album that seems to blow out of a crystal clear venue. The performance at the very beginning of the tour depicted with such a sound is wonderful. First of all, the set list is fresh. There are a lot of numbers such as “Golden Years”, “John I’m Only Dancing”, “Queen Bitch”, and “Alabama Song” that were not performed even at the Japanese performance relatively close to the scheduled date. In particular, “John I’m Only Dancing” is a rare number that will not be performed again after the following month. Moreover, it is nice that the standard songs are not cut out just because there are rare songs (only “Starman” is less than in Japan). They let you hear plenty of songs that they can play and have prepared. The fact that such a heaped set is possible is due to the momentum of the very early days of the tour. Of course, even though it is the early days, there are only seven performances, so the band is running at full speed with its engines warmed up. On top of that, they are overflowing with the spirit of “We’re going to tour the whole world now!” It is a live album that has not yet narrowed down the set, and shows off the masterpieces that they have prepared while watching the audience’s reaction. “North America #1” is a very early part of “SOUND+VISION TOUR 1990” that has not been well known until now. This is a masterpiece live album that conveys that with the superb quality of JEMS recording. Great sound, delicious masterpieces, and fresh performances. This is an excellent album that meets all the conditions of a masterpiece at a high level. Live at PNE Coliseum, Vancouver, BC. Canada 15th March 1990 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (64:56) 1. Intro 2.
