Description

This is a coveted piece that contains for the first time a cool live recording from the broadcast master excavated from the stage at Apsara University in Sweden from the live performance in which Gerry Mulligan joined the Brubeck Quartet who reunited with Desmond. Dave Brubeck Quartet, who had disbanded his own quartet in 1967, reunited with Desmond for the first time in 1971 on their European tour, and he appeared as a guest at a live performance at Apsara University on October 20, 1971. Although the 2 Suga Quartet’s live performance has only been released in Berlin in 1972, this Apsara performance will be the first live performance in 1971, which is earlier than that. Moreover, an amazingly high-quality master is used, and even if it is released as an official version, the sound quality will not be complained at all. Unlike the live album “We’re All Together Again for the First Time” from various places, you can’t miss the fact that it only includes one concert. The last song is, of course, “Take Five.” Live at Apsara University, Apsara, Sweden 10/20/1971 1.Things Ain’t What They Used To Be 2.Truth Is Fallen 3.Unfinished Woman 4.Summer Music 5.For All We Know 6.Line For Lions 7.Take Five Paul Desmond (as) Gerry Mulligan (BS) Dave Brubeck (p) Jack Sixx (b) Alan Dawson (dr)
