Description
DANGER DANGER has come to Japan to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The latest and finest original recording is now available. This work was recorded at the “December 12, 2019: Umeda CLUB QUATTRO” performance. It is a transcendent audience recording. This time they came to Japan for only two performances, one in Tokyo and one in Osaka, and Osaka was the final performance. At first, it was announced that the group was going on a “Japan tour to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their debut album!” and various rumors such as “Is this going to be a repeat of the album?” and “Is this a reunion of the original members?” attracted attention. This work, which records such a show, has an exquisite sound that makes you want to line up the “super” one after another. Anyway, zero distance & super clear. This work was created by Mr. “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”, who is well-known at our store, and even his finest collection is outstanding. He is always a master at capturing sound that can be praised as “It’s like a sound board!”, but this time, you can’t believe your ears, “Where is this not a line!?” Or should I say, “Is this a concert?” . Of course, the performance is live, and it must be much more lively than the official live album. However, the cheers were strangely distant, and the performance and singing were as close as if they were listening to IEMs. Rather than calling it a concert recording, it is a transcendental sound that makes you think, “Are you present at the studio live?” Some of you may remember the super masterpiece “25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION: LIVE IN OSAKA 2014” from five years ago. It was a transcendental recording, but in fact, it was also the collection of Mr. “The Strongest”. This work is the same venue as that super masterpiece, and it seems to be a sister work from the same position. I’m sorry that it doesn’t resonate with those who don’t know about “25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION,” but that super famous recording was not a matter of luck or coincidence, but was inevitable due to solid know-how. This is a record that proves that even after 5 years.(If you were blown away by this work, be sure to also experience “25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION”!)The show drawn with such transcendent sound is one of the two greatest albums. Concentration reduction of “DANGER DANGER” and “SCREW IT!” As I introduced at the beginning, they came to Japan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, but when they opened the lid, it was a regular style show performed by the current members. However, even if it wasn’t an album reproduction, it was a strong rush of “DANGER DANGER” numbers, and it was a strong show that was pushed through with just the desired masterpieces. Let’s organize the set here and experience its depth. ●DANGER DANGER (9 songs)・Boys Will Be Boys/Rock America/Turn It On/Under the Gun/Don’t Walk Away/One Step From Paradise/Feels Like Love/Bang Bang/Naughty Naughty ●SCREW IT! (5 Songs) Monkey Business/Don’t Blame It on Love/Beat the Bullet/I Still Think About You/Crazy Nites Other Medley Sessions: Detroit Rock City/Strutter/God of Thunder/Living After Midnight… It looks like this. All 11 songs from “DANGER DANGER” except “Saturday Nite” and “Live It Up” will be played on a large scale, and 5 songs from “SCREW IT!” will also be selected. It is a rich set with only two initial pieces (the recent “Hearts on the Highway” was also played at the Tokyo performance, but in Osaka it was changed to “Turn It On”. It became even more intense). I introduced “25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION” earlier, but “Crazy Nites”, which could not be heard on that super masterpiece, will also be performed. What is interesting in this thoroughness is the medley session that is performed in the middle of the show. Here, they play KISS’s famous songs one after another (maybe because the original band is visiting Japan?), and for some reason they end with JUDAS PRIEST. It’s a fun show to listen to without missing a single song. In other words, it’s fun without even a minute’s lag. Anyway, it has a cheerful mood typical of an American band, and you can do whatever you want between songs. I’ll do whatever I want as MC, I’ll talk to each other, and I’ll talk to the audience. Furthermore, we would play songs that weren’t planned or famous rock songs (we also play RATT), and other members would join in as well. I wrote earlier that it has a “sound like a studio live”, but it really feels like you’re sitting in a studio session. To avoid misunderstandings, this album is neither a chat album nor a session album for Dal Dal. Tokuno’s live album full of famous songs. Ted Polley’s singing voice is as good as it was in his heyday, and Rob Marcello delivers a series of shred phrases that sound like a modern update of Andy Timmons’ original. The rhythm section is so tight that you won’t feel any weakening. You can fully enjoy the full show where the brilliantly reborn masterpieces and the easygoing mood are replaced with each other. Good songs, good sound, good performances, and the smell of good old 80’s American HR. This is a live album that combines all of these and allows you to experience the scene of DANGER DANGER, which breathed a refreshing breeze into Japan in 2019. A two-disc set that depicts a thoroughly enjoyable mood and a group of famous songs with a transcendent sound that makes it hard to believe it was a concert live performance.
