Description
The March 3rd Shibuya Club Quattro performance during the 2017 Japan tour was recorded in full matrix with the line source from the uncompressed multi-ear monitor source used by the members on stage for monitoring, and the digital audience master from the front row. First, various IEM matrix sound sources from familiar labels were recorded with professional mastering, with Dave’s vocals as the main focus, Captain’s guitar, Monty’s keyboard, Pinch’s drums, Stu’s bass, etc., with perfectly separate positioning, so this time too, the quality is at the level of a leaked stereo soundboard sound source. And from the Japan tour commemorating the band’s 40th anniversary, which began with great anticipation, this is a complete reproduction of the sold-out Tokyo performance, which ended with a great success, and the voltage of the venue was already at its peak from the opening “Melody Lee” which started with Monty’s piano solo. The classic love song “Alone Again Or” was followed by “Love Song” and suddenly the Damned World was born. The band performed “New Rose”, a punk anthem from their STIFF days and a recent cover of Guns N’ Roses’ Duff, and “Neat Neat Neat”, showing their unbeatable performance that is still going strong. In 2016, the documentary film “Damned Guys” was released, and they are attracting attention again, so this is a must-listen item for fans who first encountered the Damned through the film and die-hard fans alike. As an added bonus, the sound check that took place before the doors opened on the day is also included. Disc 1 : 01. Intro 02. Melody Lee 03. Generals 04. Disco Man 05.
