Description

Since the release of the Millard Master by JEMS changed the platform, there have been many surprising discoveries of Crosby, Stills & Nash, but this time Millard captured the stage of the parent group CSN, which is another amazing sound source. CSN had a big hit with the album “DAYLIGHT AGAIN” in 1982, and the tour that followed was also a great success. At the end of the tour, three consecutive nights were set up at the Universal Amphitheater in LA, which also served as the shooting of the live video of the same name. This recording is of excellent quality, as it is a theater-class venue that Millard likes to go to for recording. Millard himself was not very pleased with the quality of this recording, as he was not able to get a seat in the front as expected, but it is understandable that JEMS commented, “The bass distortion is noticeable at the beginning, but from the perspective of those of us other than Millard, this is a great sound quality.” What’s more, what was discovered this time was that the November 28th that he recorded was the day the live video was recorded. The performance was exactly the same as the MC of Crosby and Stills before “Wasted On The Way”. More than that, for example, the cheers that rose up during “Dark Star” were probably staged? I had felt that this was not a fake, but the Millerd recording made it clear that the crowd was really excited at the scene (lol). What was even more surprising was the excellent performance of “See The Changes” that was cut from the video. It is a shame that such a repertoire that is popular with enthusiasts was cut, and being able to hear such phantom performances is the best part of audience recording. Especially if it is a Millerd recording. Furthermore, “Love The One You’re With” was placed as if it was played at the end of the concert in the live video, but it was actually played as the closing of the first half of the live performance. Another reason why Millerd did not rate this recording was that he failed to record the end of the live performance after “Cathedral”. So instead, he filled in the live performance with a recording from the day before, when it seemed most of the live performance had not been recorded well. However, there is a shocking fact here as well. First of all, this part is not only a performance on a different day from the live video and the first time it can be heard, but the super cool performance of the finale “Carry On” is a masterpiece. Of course, this song was also played on the 28th, when the video was recorded. Despite this, it was not used in the video. I can’t help but think that this is the kind of performance I wanted to see with the video. In this case, it is not a big problem that the finale “Teach Your Children”, which decorated the end of the video, was not recorded. The rich and realistic presence that was not conveyed from the official release, and the usual clear quality. In addition, this is another shocking mirrored master that will definitely satisfy you with just the precious repertoire that cannot be seen in the live video, “See The Changes” and “Carry On”.
