The Creatures, formed in 1981 by Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie, released their third album, Anima Animus, and this rare recording was recorded in good stereo audience quality at a live performance in Hollywood about seven months before the release of the band! The Creatures, formed in 1981 by Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie of Siouxsie & The Bungies, released their third album, Anima Animus, 10 years after their previous album, Boomerang, on July 14, 1998, about seven months before the release of their third album, Anima Animus, this rare recording was recorded in good stereo audience quality at The Palace, a venue with a capacity of about 1,250 people, located in Hollywood, California! It has been digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, and the range is wide and each part, including the vocals, is recorded with a well-balanced and clear sound quality. There is a gap in the intro of “Gun” due to a tape change, but the rest of the recording is recorded without any gaps. The set list featured five songs from the album “Anima Animus” to be released the following February, including the single “2nd Floor” which was released in October of the same year prior to the album. Selections included “Thumb” from their first EP “Wild Things” released in 1981, “But Not Them” which was also played at Bungies’ live shows, and “A Strutting Rooster” from their first album “Feast.” Don’t miss their performance of “Venus In Furs” by the Velvet Underground and Nico!
