Cream’s standard audience sound source, Waltham, Brandeis University performance upgrade! The Waltham performance, which has long been familiar as a Cream mid-period audience source, has been upgraded with the emergence of the miraculous Low Gene Master. The difference in sound quality from the conventional version is immediately clear when you listen to it. Speaking of Cream’s audience source, while many of the sound quality is difficult due to the age, this master is of a quality that can be appreciated normally. Previously, September 9, 1967 was thought to be the performance date, but new verification has revealed that it is also a sound source from their second North American tour on March 23, 1968. In other words, it was the same tour as the Winterland consecutive performances that were later recorded on the official albums “WHEELS OF FIRE”, “LIVE CREAM”, and “LIVE CREAM VOLUME 2”. If that’s the case, the performance can’t be bad. And since it was a tour after the release of “DISRAELI GEARS”, the set also included numbers from the same album, and it was a tour with a variety of set lists. Here too, they play two popular songs from the opening. Then there’s “N.S.U.” from “FRESH CREAM”. Both are exchanges of ad-lib plays that are completely different from the official version. In “N.S.U.”, it’s surprising that Ginger’s drum solo is featured in the middle part here. This is exactly what captures the essence of Cream, which changes from day to day. Well, I’m sorry for the childish expression, but Eric is just playing! In addition, as a coupling only for Mid Valley, the audience master of the Dallas performance on March 30, which was excavated from the same tour for the first time in 53 years, is also included. Jack Bruce’s bass is distorted with a gully sound due to a speaker or a defective shield, but this is also a surprising new sound source that can be heard well. What’s more, it’s nice that the set list is different from Waltham. CD1 01. TALES OF BRAVE ULYSSES 02. SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE 03. N.S.U. 04. SITTING ON TOP OF THE WORLD 05. STEPPIN’ OUT 06.
