Description
Finally discovered the master tape of the Boston performance in September 1979! Introducing an upgraded edition with more recording time and improved sound quality than the previously released edition! “TAKE THE FIFTH TOUR 1979 (TOTH1060)” already released on the same label, which includes a good stereo audience recording of the 6th day of “TAKE THE FIFTH TOUR” held at the Orpheme Theater in Boston on September 19, 1979. ” is now available as an upgraded edition that has been digitally transferred directly from the master tape! In the previously released version, it was from the middle of the opening SE, but in the master, it was recorded before the SE started, so the recording time has increased, and the sound quality has also been improved. Also, pitch deviations caused by the master have been carefully corrected. On that day, they played “City Of The Dead” as the first song, and the band’s tour manager, Johnny Green, rewrote it as the first song on the set list as a joke, and it was played as is. In this rare live show, just before the release of the masterpiece “London Calling”, they have already played 6 songs from the album, and “The Guns Of Brixton” etc. are played in a different arrangement from the later tour. Also worth noting is the live performance where Mickey Gallagher, who could be called the fifth Clash, participated for the first time on the keyboard, and you can hear his playing from “Clampdown”, and his wonderful solo on “Wrong ‘Em Boyo”. We are also showing off.
