Description
Chris Potter, who is said to be the successor of Michael Brecker in the jazz saxophone world, along with Joshua Redman, formed the group as a true contemporary leader. The group also included the expert guitarist Wayne Krantz, and is one of the best of the underground. The early live shows are now available in perfect high-quality sound! ! ! Since Chris released his first album as a leader in 1994, he has produced many masterpieces since he is currently affiliated with the prestigious ECM label, and has also collaborated with Jim Hall, Dave Holland, and Pat, whom he continues to collaborate with whenever he has time. He is an extraordinary worker, having participated in over 300 albums as a sideman across a variety of genres, from Metheny to Steely Dan. This is just like Michael Brecker until the 1980s when he was in demand from everywhere, and it is proof that Chris took on that role from the late 1980s when Michael concentrated on his own activities. Come to think of it, it is still fresh in my memory that in recent years, master Pat Metheny has formed a new group to perform with Chris, the first saxophonist in more than 20 years since Michael. What has become an epoch-making moment in Chris’s career is his cutting-edge, intense groove that encompasses not only jazz but all other genres, as well as his aggressive improvisation. He formed his own regular group, Underground, which lasted until 1995. The Underground’s first album was released the following year in 2006, but before the album was even recorded, on March 7, 2005, shortly after Underground’s formation, a rare event was held at the Jericho Jazz Club in Malmö, Sweden. A 2-disc set has arrived that completely records the entire first and second set for 2 hours on the highest quality stereo sound board that has been carefully mastered by the label! ! !
