Chick Corea/Music Workshop Rehearsal Session 2014

Recently, Chick has begun a new endeavor to not only perform but also to deliver his music to more people. Accordingly, he has formed a powerful new trio. The title of the precious rehearsal session of this new trio, which was just held in March 2014, has already been released for the first time! The members of the trio are Richie Barshay, a talented drummer/percussionist and composer who is highly regarded as “a revolutionary who has appeared in the jazz world for the first time in a long time” and whose expressive and wonderful drumming was heard on one of Chick’s “Five Trio BOX” released in 2007, and who will be performing with Chick for the first time in a long time, and a famous group that represents intense Cuban jazz! Carlitos del Puerto, son of Carlos del Puerto, founder/original member of the band “Irakere”, is “the most highly regarded acoustic bassist to emerge in the last 10 years” and has performed with many top players such as Roy Hargrove, Chris Botti, Danilo Perez, Steve Lukather, Kazumi Watanabe, Chie Ayado, and is also known for his projects with Tom Brookline, Frank Gambale, Vinny Calyuta, and others who are close friends with Chick.
