Description
The most short-lived of Chic’s long musical career, the phantom electric band ?, which was active for one year and disbanded after releasing only one album, performed at the April Jazz Festival held in Finland in 1994. This is a live sound source of the live performance recorded from the broadcast sound source that fans are drooling over. The medley of “Tumba Island” is faster than the studio version, and the performance is full of outstanding solos that strongly impress the listener with the tremendously high level of ability of each member. I have no choice but to wind it. Even though they are new members, they are players who have risen to the top by defeating the strongest players in the L.A. scene, which is full of technicians, so it is natural that their ability has been confirmed before they even started, and they are clearly good at ticks, which is clearly different from the previous electric band line. This is a more authentic style of jazz that has high playability and creates a dynamic ensemble by setting aside the tightly defined ensemble and emphasizing each individual’s free improvisation while exploring close relationships with each other. It has become a sound.
