Description
This is the best quality album, recorded with no degradation of the quality of the live sound source broadcast on FM radio at the Regent Theatre in Australia during the tour accompanying the release of the album “Touchstone”. “Touchstone” is one of Chick’s masterpieces, with Paco de Lucia on guitar, giving it a Spanish taste. The Regent Theatre in Australia released this time features the same members as “Again and Again”, and the set list is different from the performance in Japan in October of the same year. Incidentally, the live performance at Hitomi Memorial Hall in Tokyo in 1982 was released by Megadisc. Now, Steve Kujala is featured alongside Chick on this album. It is said that his acquaintance with Chick raised the profile of the flute as an instrument. Later, he released a duo album with Chick from ECM, and is a flute player characterized by a more aesthetic playing style than Joe Farrell. The first four songs (Children’s Song) are performed by a duo with Chick and Steve, and this is the version you can hear just by the title. The other members are Carlos Benavent, Tom Breckline, and Don Alias, who also participated in the album, and this is a wonderful live album that allows you to experience a performance with a stronger jazz and fusion color than the album.
