Description

This item has a rather meaningful title: “To Alice, From the Romantic Knight, With the Heart of Spain”. However, for Chick Corea fans, it’s nothing, and the title is obvious when you look at the set list. Among Chick Corea’s many albums, there is the image album “THE MAD HATTER” with a rare concept, the masterpiece “ROMANTIC WARRIOR” from Return to Forever, and “MY SPANISH HEART” filled with Chick’s trademark Spain. Each of these three albums features a suite-like large piece. “DEAR ALICE”, “DUEL OF THE JESTER AND THE TYRANT” and “SPANISH FANTASY” are must-listens. Any one of them is enough to highlight the live performance. There are three of them. Has there ever been a live album with such a rich content before? Moreover, it is recorded on a high-quality stereo sound board. There is nothing to complain about. If you like jazz fusion, this is definitely a must-have. If you’re a Chick fan, it goes without saying. Incidentally, there is debate among fans about the members of this day, and as of early October 2021, it has not yet been confirmed whether it was Steve Gadd, Tom Brecklein, Joe Farrell, Dave Liebman, Eddie Gomez, or Rick Laird (Mahavishnu Orchestra). Please listen and try to distinguish. In any case, Chick Corea passed away in February 2021, and Rick Laird has also passed away. With respect to the wonderful performances they left behind, we pray for their souls to rest in peace.
