This CD is a direct release from the master cassette, which was of astonishing quality for the time, of the band’s appearance at the Winter Park Jazz Festival held on September 4, 1982. First of all, the members are powerful, with a quartet consisting of Haden, Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, and Billy Hart, and even more so, with special guest Pat Metheny joining in for “All The Things You Are” in the middle of the show.
