Description
The Charles Mingus Quintet’s first appearance on August 23, 1976 at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, Finland, is recorded in full on the finest stereo soundboard sound source. The same members (Jack Wallace, Ricky Ford, Danny Mixon, Danny Richmond) as on the Japan tour in July performed a spectacular performance lasting about 2 hours and 30 minutes. A total of 10 songs were performed, including “Fables Of Faubus”, “Remember Rockefeller At Attica”, “Sue’s Changes”, and “Goodbye Pe Hat”. You can enjoy the wonderful performance in the prime of their later years, which had a huge impact on rock beyond jazz, with the finest sound.
