I’m tempted to write “Allan Holdsworth Trio”, but the main character is Chad Wackerman on drums. Looking at the lineup, it’s the Holdsworth Trio, but this is a live recording of a drum clinic, so Chad Wackerman is the main focus. There are two drum solos. That said, Holdsworth has his moments to shine, so Holdsworth fans can enjoy it as well. Although the sound quality is high, it was recorded by an audience, and there were occasional cheers like “Whoooooooooo!” between songs, so the intervals between songs were edited out during remastering. This is a somewhat unusual recording with Wackerman as the main focus, but he is a master who was also selected for Frank Zappa and Sting’s bands. Why not take another look at the drumming?
