This is a live recording by the Indian group of Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin. The performance is well recorded with an audience, but there are some parts where the cheers are a bit annoying. The title is interesting just because it is about two great guitarists who have often performed together, but the spiritual orientation of the 70s has faded and the rock color has become much stronger, so even pure rock fans can enjoy the sound of the two great guitarists. What is particularly noteworthy is the splendor of the set list. “Lights Off” from Miles Davis’ masterpiece “Jack Johnson,” which McLaughlin himself participated in recording the album, will make fans cry. There are also numbers by his beloved Coltrane, but the instrumental medley that connects Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain Falls” to Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” is a must-listen.
