Description

In 2013, Carl Palmer Band will hold a large-scale world tour titled “Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy: Twist of the Wrist Tour 2013”. This title is a complete recording of the performance in Siegburg, Germany on April 20, 2012, in master quality and audience recording, lasting 1 hour and 33 minutes, featuring a keyboard-less guitar trio playing ELP classics. And as they have been playing in this direction for nearly 10 years, every part is perfect, especially the familiar guitarist Paul Bielatovicus, who reproduces complex ELP numbers with modern and wonderful techniques using only guitar. The piano intro of Bitches Crystal is skillfully reproduced on guitar, Abaddon’s Bolero is reproduced with skillful use of different tones and ensemble, and the aggressive The Barbarian, speedy Hoedown, Tarkus, etc. are played in a way that fits the guitar band. And Trilogy is a great performance that breaks the image of the original song in a good way. The nice and familiar Karelia Suite is also one of the highlights in the middle, and the following 23-minute Pictures At An Exhibition is a highlight, as is the next Fanfare For The Common Man. Disc 1 : 1. Announcement 2. Intro Tape 3. Welcome Back 4. The Barbarian 5. Hoedown 6. Bitches Crystal 7. Abaddon’s Bolero 8. Tarkus 9. Acoustic Guitar Solo 10. Electric Guitar Solo feat.
