This is a collection of rare singles by Bryan Ferry. Two rare single collections have been released in official box sets for Roxy, but Ferry has rarely released a comprehensive set, and there are many hard-to-find singles scattered throughout, so this is a very welcome release for fans. For details, please see the explanation for each song below. ??Included in the soundtrack of the 1996 film “The Phenomenon”. In particular, ? is a rare version of the same song only available on CD-S, co-produced with Trevor Horn. ?~?Soundtrack songs for the 1986 film “Legend”. Three versions on 7-inch and 12-inch singles. Dave Gilmour’s guitar is featured throughout, and he also shows off some amazing solos. ??Soundtrack songs for the 1986 film “The Fly”. Two versions. Co-written with Nile Rogers. ?B-side of the single “This Is Tomorrow” from “In Your Mind”. The Japanese title is “The World Turns”. A hidden gem known only to those in the know, reminiscent of “European Lament,” possibly an outtake from the Roxy era, co-written with Eddie Jobson. Robert Fripp performs the guitar solo. – Included in the Beatles tribute soundtrack “All This And World War 2.” Also included on the B-side of the single EP “Tokyo Joe.” – Outtakes from “The Bride Stripped Bare” sessions. – was included on the recalled first edition of “The Bride Stripped Bare.” – A cover of a Cocteau Twins song, only included on the best album. – A ballad with lyrics by Shakespeare.
