Description

Brian Ferry’s latest tour sound source in 2015 is now available as a completely original sound source from the already familiar London-based taper. The second performance of the latest UK tour with 20 performances accompanying the latest album “AVONMORE” was recorded at the New Theatre in Oxford on May 9th, completely recorded from the original master with a super high quality audience recording. Ferry has been active in recent years, but the tour in 2014 was from April to December and ended once. At the end of the tour in November, he released his new album “Avonmore”. And this year, Ferry started touring again in May 2015, and his energetic activities are amazing compared to the 90s, which is a great pleasure for fans. Moreover, Ferry is different from veteran artists who simply perform summer music concerts as a copy band of his former self, and while he skillfully incorporates songs from his new album, he always weaves in rare songs, including those from his Roxy days, to satisfy his core fans. This time too, “Beauty Queen” is a very emotional song, as it has not been heard since the early 70’s at Roxy. In addition, “Stronger Through The Years” from 1979’s “Manifesto” is back for the first time since the 2014 tour. Furthermore, “Bob Dylan’s Dream”, which is thought to be the first live performance, is a rare song that was only included in the Dylan tribute album released in 2012. Five songs from “Avonmore” are included in the set list, and they are no different from the classic songs of the past, which is to be expected. In particular, the three songs “Driving Me Wild”, “Loop De Li”, and “One Night Stand” are masterpieces with a truly Roxy-like exotic swell, and among them, “One Night Stand”, which features Ronnie Spector’s glamorous chorus on the original album, is one of the highlights, although the female chorus seems a little weaker than the original. As for the band, the members are unknown but produce a very high quality and complex Ferry sound, and Lucy Wilkins, who showed off her amazing violin and keyboard skills on the 2000 Roxy Reunion Tour, has returned for the first time in a long time. She is playing a key role alongside the beautiful saxophonist Jorja Chalmers, who joined the band a few years ago. Please enjoy the latest high-quality sound source.
