Description

This is a Springsteen title from our store, which started with the River Tour recorded by Mike Millard, and whose first performance in Japan in 1985 has been very popular, but this time, for the first time in a while, the sound source from the popular Darkness Tour. It will be released. Moreover, all releases after the mirrored sound source have been released with only the best sound sources with high sound quality, but this time too, it is an audience recording of the best quality that follows that trend! The Saginaw performance was released on September 3, 1978. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the pinnacle of the Darkness Tour.I declare that it is a sound source that you cannot miss if you are a fan just by recording the September live performance, but the sound quality is just astounding. Even though it was a monaural audience recording, the clarity was overwhelming when you first listened to it. I can’t help but be surprised at the freshness, which is so clear that it seems like it’s a stereo recording. That alone guarantees that it is an excellent sound source, but the sound image is also really balanced. All I can say is that the recording is in excellent condition everywhere. Actually, this Saginaw performance was a sound source released twenty years ago under the boxed title “KILLERS IN THE SUN”. In addition to the good sound quality at that point, coupled with the invincible performance content unique to September’s Darkness Tour, it has become a live show with a reputation among enthusiasts. However, in that box, “Racing In The Street” and “Thunder Road”, which were played consecutively that day, were recorded separately on two discs, which was a bad editing that ruined the sound source. Around this time, there were many unscrupulous edits that ignored the actual structure of the live performance, such as Floyd’s “BLACK HOLES IN THE SKY,” which recorded the “madness” part on two separate discs. . Therefore, a new release of this famous sound source was awaited, but it seems that the low generation sound source that was the source of the “KILLERS IN?” box has also been in circulation for a long time. However, in recent years, JEMS has discovered the master cassette and the ultimate version of this sound source has appeared. Naturally, we were releasing the JEMS version for this release, but I also obtained the previous low-generation sound source for comparison. However, the result was…more obvious than looking at the fire. It was an overwhelming victory for JEMS. Literally peels off the skin, and the clarity and freshness are greatly increased. If you have “KILLERS IN?”, please listen to it and compare it before you give it up. You’ll probably want to give it up (lol). Such a shocking improvement in sound quality is appropriate for recent releases from our store. But that’s not all, the naturally upper tension of this day’s performance is the best even on the Darkness Tour in September, which is packed with famous performances! Springsteen, who is still in his twenties and doesn’t rely on physical skill, has a great performance, coupled with the clear sound quality. The first live performance in September, “CHIMES OF FREEDOM”, which we released in the past, had a really wonderful performance, but the intense tension went beyond that. After all, it does not get sluggish in the middle, but it reaches the peak of the day in the middle of the show. That would be “(I Don’t Want To) Hang Up My Rock ‘N’ Roll Shoes”, which was the only performance during the tour. This is probably a familiar cover for enthusiasts, but what does it mean that it doesn’t get messy at all even though it’s clearly a real performance? This is the proof of the invincible month of Darkness Tour that is September. On this day, the sound source is famous for the fact that there are audience members around the recording person who shout various song titles over and over again, but scenes that are unrelated to the song title and are too persistent (bitter smile) are cut out. (You might also want to compare this with “KILLERS IN?”). However, far from feeling uncomfortable, there is no doubt that you will find it easy to listen to. The bonus includes songs from the live performance a few days later, numbers that were not played in Saginaw, and even rare covers. Finally, the subtle pitch fluctuations in some places have been adjusted, and the masterpiece performance and sound source of the September Darkness Tour will finally be released on CD in its ultimate form!
