Bruce Springsteen/Born in the U.S.A. Japanese SBM

Released in June 1984, Born In The U.S.A. became a huge hit album all over the world and became one of the most representative rock albums of the 1980s, not just blues. Of course, you all know this. He became a hero of the era along with Michael, Prince, and Madonna. Now, the fact that this album was released in 1984 means that it was released not only as an analog version but also on CD at the same time. Since pressing factories for this CD were still limited, the US, English, and domestic versions were all made in Japan and distributed all over the world. After that, press factories were completed in various places, so products were manufactured in each country. However, the master used was of course manufactured with a common master. It was not remastered after that, and the remastered version that fans had been waiting for was released in 2014, 30 years after its release. However, you may remember that a remastered version was released in 1995 as a limited edition paper jacket only available in Japan once. This Born In The U.S.A. was selected as the SBM series. This is a piece that many fans were unable to get because it sold out quickly. This title was mastered by Bob Ludwick. Originally, the analog version had a very good sound, but I think you’ll notice at first listen that this SBM version has a very pleasant bass and a soft sound. Currently, the sound quality of remastered CDs of all rock albums tends to be too loud, and I think there are many collectors who prefer the natural clarity that can be heard on the main disc. I highly recommend listening to and comparing the original Japan Press version, this SBM version, and the current remastered version. I think you will enjoy the best “BORN IN THE U.S.A.” ever.
