Description
The final PET SOUNDS tour, “PET SOUNDS 50TH ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR”, is still ongoing. The best multi-camera pro shots will be released. This work was recorded at the “Basel performance on October 31, 2016”. It is a performance at the Swiss festival “BALOISE SESSION 2016”. Speaking of 2016, the successful performance in Japan is still fresh in our memory, but let’s start by understanding the position of the show from the overall picture of the world tour. [2016] ・March 26th – April 15th: Oceania/Japan (10 performances) ・May 1st – August 29th: Europe #1/North America #1 (49 performances) ・September 1st – October 15th: Europe #2/North America #2 (31 performances) ・October 28th – November 7th: Europe #3 (6 performances) ←★Here★ ・December 1st + 3rd: Mexico (2 performances) [2017] ・March 18th – June 16th: North America #3 (44 performances) ・June 29th – August 6th: Europe #4 (22 performances) ・August 26th – October 14th: North America #4 (21 performances) We’ve condensed it quite dramatically, but this is the full picture of the “PET SOUNDS 50TH ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR” that has been announced so far. The Basel performance of this work is the third concert of “Europe # 3” about half a year after the performance in Japan. This show was recorded as a professional shot only at the famous festival and broadcast by the Swiss public broadcasting station “RTS Deux”. This work is a DVD of the best digital master. The quality is exactly iron wall. “If it is the latest professional shot, it will be beautiful,” you can expect, but not only will it not disappoint your expectations, but even if you imagine the best quality with all your might, it will not reach this work. It is super powerful and super clear, even with a fish. Of course, if the camera work is perfect, the sound is also a perfect official-class sound board. I don’t know if this video will be made into an official work in the future, but if it does not, it will be a sin against music culture … That’s the quality. It is a water-tight iron wall, but unfortunately it is not “perfect”. Probably due to the broadcast time slot, the show was not recorded in its entirety, and five songs “Dance, Dance, Dance”, “I Get Around”, “Salt Lake City”, “Sail Away” and “Surfin’ U.S.A.” were cut. It is quite bold to cut “Surfin’ U.S.A.”, but unfortunately, the main character this time is a complete reproduction of “PET SOUNDS”. All the essential parts of the famous album are recorded, and you can also witness the opening scene of “California Girls”, “Do It Again” and “California Saga: California” that were not performed at the Japanese performance, and “Wild Honey” and “Sail On, Sailor” sung by Blondie Chaplin in a cloak, all at the official level. I was about to write “Memories of the Japan tour are revived” … but I stopped. The true value of this work is not just that. It is nothing other than “PET SOUNDS seen with the eyes of 2016 quality”. Originally, it would undoubtedly be a cultural heritage of permanent preservation press class, but perhaps the full version will be broadcast in the future… Even if the full-length version does not appear, it is a super-excellent multi-camera pro shot that will undoubtedly be counted as the “ultimate video version of the masterpiece” when the final reproduction tour is over. The latest video version that depicts in detail the “power of the masterpiece” that continues to fascinate people even after more than half a century.
