Description

In 1983, during a break in the Brecker Brothers’ regular tour, a live performance was held at the prestigious New York club “Rush Life” with special members led by Ronnie Cuber. This phantom live performance was recorded for the first time from a secret master recording owned by a enthusiast, and has now been released on CD. Ronnie Cuber, who plays baritone saxophone, also performed on Randy Brecker’s solo album “34th and Rex,” which won the 46th Grammy Award in the Contemporary Jazz category. Ronnie Cuber is a familiar saxophonist to Brecker fans, as he also performed in Japan in 2016. Ronnie Cuber has also participated in albums by Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, and others, showcasing his stylish baritone. This live performance features Randy, Michael, and Ronnie on three horns, Eliane on piano, Chip Jackson on bass, and Richie Morales, a familiar figure to Brecker fans, so you can listen to it with confidence. Recorded from a miraculously unearthed audience master, this release is extremely valuable for the Brecker Brothers’ live archives.
