Brad Mehldau, who released the much-talked-about album “After Bach,” has released his latest live performance to coincide with the release of his latest studio album “Seymour Lee’s The Constitution,” recorded with his unchanging trio for the first time in about two years. The live performance will feature a different stage than “After Bach,” and the diverse set list will be fascinating, including his original songs and standards, as well as songs by the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, interpreted in Mehldau style. The two batsmen have been friends with Brad Mehldau for many years and support him by understanding what he is trying to achieve. Incidentally, the last three songs are the encore.
