Description
Brad Mehldau, a pianist who is currently at the forefront of the jazz scene and who is known for saying that Keith Jarrett is his successor, has released his latest album “After”, in which he unravels the great baroque master Bach with his own unique sense and interpretation. The latest live performance accompanying the release of “Bach” has already appeared. The latest studio-recorded album features four preludes and a fugue from JS Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, each followed by Mehldau’s After-Bach compositions inspired by the corresponding pieces. (Bach style) music has been recorded. This live performance follows the same flow as the album, but unlike the studio recording, Brad Mehldau’s unique improvisational performances are played here and there, making it a live show where his skills shine. For the encore, three songs are performed: Radiohead’s Little by Little, which clearly conveys Mehldau’s sensibilities, Coltrane’s Each One, and Errol Garner’s masterpiece Misty. The most important thing is the sound quality, but since we use broadcast sound sources, you can enjoy Mehldau’s piano with confidence.
