Description
Bob Dylan has been making his singing voice resonate throughout Japan for a total of 16 performances over the course of about a month. Finally, all that remains is the Yokohama performance on the final day. This week’s gift is a superb live album from April 19, 2016, the 10th performance of the Japan tour (5th performance in Tokyo). This tour is currently in progress, but let’s briefly summarize it so you can get an idea of it. ・April 4th-6th: Orchard Hall, Tokyo (3 performances) ・April 9th: Sendai (1 performance) ・April 11th-13th: Osaka (3 performances) ・April 15th: Nagoya ( 1 performance) ★April 18th-23rd: Tokyo, Orchard Hall (4 performances), April 23rd: Tokyo, TOKYO DOME CITY HALL (1 performance), April 25th-26th: Tokyo, Orchard Hall ( 2 performances) April 28th: Pacifico Yokohama (1 performance) The recently released “TOKYO 2016 3RD NIGHT” has also been very well received, but this is the last day of the 3-day tour at Orchard Hall. This work captures the timing of his return to Tokyo after traveling around Sendai, Osaka, and Nagoya. This is the second time. The best part of this work is the sound. “TOKYO 2016 3RD NIGHT” was also a miraculous recording, but this work is also a superb audience album. The master directly handed down to him by the recording artist himself, who has worked on numerous masterpieces, is used directly, and the neat and fresh sound is breathtakingly wonderful. Dylan’s singing voice plunges straight through the transparent space of Orchard Hall, and even his breathing is delicately recorded, and the brushy drumming is as real as if you could touch it with your hands. When you pick up the guitar, you can almost hear not only the nuances of the cutting, but also the sound of the strings rubbing. Although it is a sound that stands out clearly, it is still delicious because it is completely different from the inorganic texture of a sound board. The sound was as transparent as crystal glass, yet the elegant echoes of Orchard Hall were subtly enveloping it, and the applause gently fell like autumn rain. It is definitely “raw” and “real”, but the fleshiness of these words is unbecomingly gentle and transparent, and above all, it is “beautiful”. This beauty can only be realized when “the latest digital equipment”, “acoustics of a famous hall”, “techniques of a famous recording artist”, and “Dylan’s singing voice”… all of them come together. It is one that spits out plenty of that from the speaker. Live at Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Tokyo, Japan 19th April 2016 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1(46:14) 1.
