Description
From Dylan’s first performance in Japan in 1978, which is already talked about as a legend, the second performance on February 21st and the third performance on the 23rd, both at Budokan, are recorded from unreleased audience masters newly discovered in recent years. All complete recordings with the best quality ever. All of them have become legends, from live debut songs that were unreleased at the time to songs that were performed in the past with bold arrangements that you couldn’t tell what they were even when you started singing them. While there was not, this title is truly a valuable live sound source. Especially on the 21st, there will be a blues cover “Lonesome Bedroom Blues” that was only played on the first three days at Budokan, a reggae version of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”, and a song that was performed at the end of the show. The rare “Tomorrow Is A Long Time” is worth listening to. Furthermore, on the February 23rd performance of Disc 3 & 4, following the familiar instrumental “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall”, they will perform “Lonesome Bedroom Blues”, which will be their last performance in Tokyo. Also, from this day on, “I Don’t Believe You” was included in the set, and conversely, “If You See Her, Say Hello”, which was performed for three consecutive days, was the last one on this day. Compared to the first and second days, the band’s sound seemed more mature, with a strong rock-tinged playing style. Up until then, they had sung “Love Minus Zero/No Limit” with the guitar on the guitar. There are also changes in the performance, such as singing with a hand in hand. In any case, it is a memorable first performance in Japan, and has high documentary value, making it a must-listen item for fans. DISC ONE : 01. A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall/02.
