Description
This is a nearly complete recording of the afternoon show at Boston Garden on January 14th from the 1974 US tour with The Band, which was one of the most popular in Dylan’s career and still has many fans who love this period. It was leaked in master quality and soundboard audio by a person involved. First of all, while many live recordings from this tour, known as the official “Great Resurrection,” have been leaked, many of them are fragmentary, and it is important to check out the fact that there are almost no complete recordings of one concert like this. And the performances of such classic songs as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Girl from the North Country,” “Like a Woman,” “Maggie’s Farm,” “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” and “Like a Rolling Stone” were made even more mellow by the Band’s performances, and the band’s live performances alone were also wonderful and rave reviews. However, Dylan, tired of touring large stadium-sized venues, ended the tour after just about a month. This led to the Rolling Thunder Revue, where he later made semi-guerrilla appearances at small venues. This is a condensed version of the sound that built up his history with the Hawks (The Band) from “the basement,” and the sound of the era of 1974. DISC 1 : 01. Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 / 02.
