Description

Well, why is it so exciting? Spanish audiences tend to show passionate excitement at rock concerts, but the excitement on this day was tremendous. What’s amazing is that Dylan, faced with such enthusiasm, was able to fly with such excitement from the opening. From the song “Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood)” sung there, it is a full-throttle shout. Anyway, the audience on this day reacted enthusiastically to Dylan’s every move, and it was no wonder that he was so excited in the face of such excitement. Of course, the band was also inspired by this intense excitement, and in songs such as “All Along The Watchtower” and “Silvio”, the Dylan band, which was at its peak at the time, exploded with hyper-tension performances. Speaking of Dylan at the time, his trademark was playing a heavy lead guitar, but here you can listen to that to your heart’s content. I think you can feel that this was a standout day on the 1995 Summer European Tour, but what made this day so amazing was not only the electric songs, but also the quiet songs. Even the acoustic corner is showing tremendous excitement. The best example is “Simple Twist Of Fate”. Although the performance itself was very gentle, the audience was overjoyed when Dylan started singing. In this situation, he plays the lead guitar a lot, and ends up shouting hyper in the second half of the song. The audience was also delighted with this. And the climax of this day is “Tangled Up In Blue”. Although the performance started lightly with acoustic music from this era, the audience went wild once again. It was amazing to see the audience singing in chorus every time the performance reached the title of the song. I can assure you that the live performance in which Dylan responded to such high tension, so excited that it felt good to listen to it, is one of the best performances that you should listen to even if you are not a maniac. In the first place, the 1995 Summer European Tour was one of the periods that was overlooked even now, as there were only a few items released in real life. It seems groundbreaking just because items are being released for the first time in a while from such a tour, but the sound quality is also great. Although the audience recording has a slightly recessed sound image, the performance and singing are not obstructed by the usual enthusiasm (at all!), rather, you can hear the overwhelming excitement and high-tension performance in an ideal balance. It is in a state of intense recording. The main part of the live concert ended with the literally heated “Obviously Five Believers”, and the encore included the killer “Like A Rolling Stone” and the golden age number “It Ain’t Me, Babe” (another great excitement!). set list. It’s a piece that will definitely get you excited, and leave you wondering, “This amazing live performance was hidden…” Sala La Riviera, Madrid, Spain 19th July 1995 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (55:48) 1.
