Description
From the Euro tour immediately after the release of “Shot of Love” in 1981, almost complete recording of the live performance at Palace des Sports in France on July 25th, with stereo soundboard sound source from the radio on-air master. . From 1979 to 1981, Dylan’s interest in black music took a concrete form, and even in the studio, Dylan’s style of anthems deeply influenced by gospel was imbued with “Slow Train”. Released albums such as “A Comin” and “Save Do”. After the release of “Shot of Love”, a European tour began on June 21st, and the final day of the tour was this Paris performance, and most of the soundboard recordings from this European tour are not in circulation. I haven’t done so, so it’s something that needs to be checked. This was the most unique tour in history that Dylan, who was strongly influenced by gospel music, added a black woman like a choir to backing vocals, and a bluesy guitar and black organ sound. The set also started with the title number from the previous album “Save Do”, and while the main focus was album numbers such as “Solid Rock” from this period, the composition also included old hit songs. In particular, a number of hit songs that had been suppressed for a while have been fused and sublimated in the most beautiful way, making this live performance a must-see for fans. DISC ONE : 01.
