Description
A high-quality audience recording of the Warfield Theater live performance on November 15th, which was the 13th live performance of 14 consecutive performances in San Francisco in November at the beginning of the 1979 gospel tour. Speaking of the Warfield Theater in 1979, the first and last days are famous, but this time we have recorded performances that have never been released before. That alone is sure to attract fan attention, but it is important that it was recorded with an audience recording of quite good sound quality. Although the sound image has a sense of distance, the clearness and freshness are outstanding, and above all, the sense of presence that is typical of the small venue of the Warfield Theater is beautifully captured. Moreover, it has long been well-received among enthusiasts, but the live performances at the Warfield Theater are truly wonderful every day. Backed by a sophisticated sound that is completely different from Rolling Thunder Revue and the 1978 World Tour Band, it is clear on this day that Dylan, who has literally been reborn, sings lively. Once again, the audience went wild with their overwhelmingly enthusiastic singing. Contrary to the negative reviews from the media at the time, the true nature of the gospel tour was that enthusiastic performances were held every day at the Warfield Theater and were well received. When converting the sound source that conveys such a realistic sense of presence into a CD, we adjusted the pitch accurately and compiled it into a high-grade item.
