Description

The hero BLACK SABBATH and the steel god Rob Halford were born in the steel city of Birmingham. Two titles that will allow you to experience the ultimate collaboration at the highest quality will be released at the same time! The first part of this work is engraved with “November 14th + 15th, 1992: Costa Mesa Performance”. This is an audience recording that fully records two performances known as great performances even in the ultimate collaboration with the best sound. Sabbath and Rob have performed together only three nights in their 50-year history. First of all, let’s look back at the three miraculous performances together with the simultaneously released “DEFINITIVE CAMDEN 2004”. 1992 (opening act for Ozzy’s retirement) November 14th: Costa Mesa performance ←★DISC 1★ November 15th: Costa Mesa performance ←★DISC 2-3★ 2004 (pinch hitter during Ozzy’s sick leave) August 26th “DEFINITIVE CAMDEN 2004″ This is a total of 3 performances of Rob + Sabbath. In 1992, it was Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell performance after he announced his retirement, and BLACK SABBATH was decided to perform as a friendship as the opening act. The frontman at the time was Ronnie James Dio, but he firmly refused, saying, “I have no intention of opening for anyone.” Initially, it was proposed to recall Tony Martin, but due to timing, Martin’s visa could not be obtained in time. At a meeting between Iommi, Ozzy, and Sharon, Rob’s name came up. When Rob was approached, he made up his mind in less than a second, but he also contacted Ronnie and Wendy Dio because he didn’t want to break up their friendship. They readily agreed, and a dream collaboration was realized (by the way, Wendy said, “I don’t approve of Martin’s participation!”) If it was Rob, who was close friends with HEAR ‘N AID…I guess that means… ). In any case, the Costa Mesa performance was held for two consecutive days. The first day (November 14th) was “SEPULTURA → Rob Sabbath → Ozzy Solo”, and the second day (November 15th) was “SEPULTURA → Rob Sabbath → Ozzy Solo → Original Sabbath”. This work is a 3-disc set that completely records the stages of “Rob Sabbath” and “Original Sabbath”. [Brush up on the pinnacle of DAT clone masters] The co-starring performance of metal founder Sabbath and Kotetsu God attracted attention from all over the world, and audience recording has become a staple ever since that time. However, this work is completely different from that. The old famous version had the sound of the audience shot cut out (the one where “The Mob Rules” from the second day, which had a lot of contact problems, was cut), but the original version of this work was released in 2015. A new master. It is also a DAT clone discovered by the prestigious “Krw_co”. The new excavation master received great acclaim as “COSTA MESA 1992 THE LEGENDARY MASTER” (hereinafter referred to as the previous work), and was quickly sold out and out of print. This work is a definitive edition that has been upgraded from that famous edition with brush-ups and bonus additions! The sound is truly the best. From the stage of the previous work, the core thickness and direct feeling were on a different level from the video release, but this work is even more powerful and glossy. Actually, at first I was just trying to improve the clarity of the sound, but there was one problem. Probably it was recorded in the center of the left and right PA, the original sound is a little special and the stereo feeling is extreme. Bread was flying from one end to the other. This may not seem like a drawback, but as a result, the overly wide stereo sound created a sense of instability and distance, and the improvement in sound clarity made the sound more unnatural. Therefore, in this work, the core was moved to the center (of course, it is not monaural, but has a natural width stereo feeling). As a result, the core becomes even more powerful, and it sounds as if the recording position itself is about 10 meters closer, as if it were a famous recording by “Crazy S.” (of course, it was actually recorded by another person). In this way, we were able to achieve the highest peak updated sound because we were familiar with Sabbath’s original sound output and paid close attention to the uniqueness of the recording. [The God of Steel who also sings dramatic numbers from Ronnie’s era] What is depicted with such a sound is the utopia of steel music. Rob in 1992 was only a substitute for Ronnie, so the point is that he also sings the style numbers after “HEAVEN AND HELL”. Let’s summarize the two days here. Ozzy era (6 songs: 9 takes)・BLACK SABBATH: N.I.B.・MASTER OF REALITY: Into The Void/Children Of The Grave (2nd day only)/Sweet Leaf (2nd day only)・VOL. 4: Supernaut (1st day only)・SABOTAGE: Symptom Of The Universe Ronnie era (6 songs: 11 takes) ・HEAVEN AND HELL: Children Of The Sea/Die Young/Heaven And Hell/Neon Knights ・MOB RULES: The Mob Rules ・DEHUMANIZER: Computer God (first day only) )…and it looks like this. In two days, you can listen to a total of 12 songs and 20 takes of “Rob’s version of Sabbath,” but the three songs that overlap with the simultaneously released “DEFINITIVE CAMDEN 2004” are “N.I.B.,” “Into The Void,” and “Children Of The.” Grave” only. You can fully enjoy Rob’s version of the stylized Sabbath without a soundboard (by the way, at rehearsal, Rob suggested “Let’s do some Tony Martin songs”, but Iommi declined. How true is he a Sabbath fan? Moreover, this looks really good on Rob. In the first place, Rob himself said, “JUDAS PRIEST sped up the metal that Sabbath invented,” and the fast-paced songs “Symptom Of The Universe,” “Die Young,” “Neon Knights,” and “The Mob Rules” sound like Priest. . Of course, the melodies and dramatic “Children Of The Sea” and “Heaven And Hell” also fit right in, and the heroic voice, which is completely different from Ronnie’s, is incredibly cool. Moreover, Rob at that time was only 41 years old, and his greasy high tone was also clear. [A bonus FM interview with Rob SABBATH is also included] Disc 3 following Rob Sabbath is the last of the second day (November 15th). This is an original reunion stage featuring Ozzy. “Black Sabbath” was also included in Ozzy’s “LIVE & LOUD”, but you can enjoy the full four songs in this work. And, disc 3 includes an additional delicious bonus track. This is an FM soundboard recording of “ROCKLINE RADIO” that appeared the day after the Costa Mesa performance (November 16th). In addition to Iommi, Geezer, and Vinny, Rob also appears, giving interviews and answering questions from viewers. Just talking about Rob as a member of Sabbath is valuable, but the content is also deep. The interviewer also asked about how he ended up co-starring with Rob from “DEHUMANIZER”, but the viewers were even more open-minded and directly asked questions about things that might be difficult to answer, such as the future of Ronnie and JUDAS PRIEST. It’s coming. Looking back on history, Rob Halford and Tony Iommi were supposed to co-star in “SEVENTH STAR.” This is a masterpiece where you can enjoy the historic show where both men have finally overlapped their sounds with the highest quality sound. Although the multi-camera professional shots are not as impressive as the simultaneously released “DEFINITIVE CAMDEN 2004”, the content of the show is overwhelmingly superior to this work. BLACK SABBATH was rehearsed properly (it’s a pity that I missed it during “Children Of The Grave” :lol), and the song is spelled out with a pleasantly extended high note. This is the pinnacle of live albums where you can truly experience the “heavy metal dream.” Pacific Amphitheater, Costa Mesa, CA.
