Description

From the US tour accompanying “Cross Purpose” in 1994, the Cleveland performance on February 19th, the 9th day of the tour, is completely recorded and appears for the first time with the highest level audience recording. A line recording of Sting’s performance on the first day of this tour was leaked, and Tony Martin was not feeling well that day, so some people may have the impression that Martin’s vocals were not good enough on the “Cross Purpose” tour. I think there are many, but this Cleveland performance is characterized by the vocals being very good and Martin showing off a wonderful performance throughout the entire performance. The friction of the voice and the lack of growth in the high range that were certainly felt in other performance takes were completely absent on this day, and you can enjoy the singing voice in its best condition. The sound quality is very good, and although some hall noise is picked up, the sound of each part is very clear and has an excellent punch. You can enjoy the entire show with powerful and very good sound. Since the set is a sequel to the “Dehumanizer” tour, you can listen to numbers that would be missed on the next Forbidden tour, such as the opening Time Machine and Ronnie’s Children Of The Sea, as well as new songs I Witness and Psychophobia. , Immaculate Deception, and Cross Of Thorns, each one is a place to listen to. Also, at this time, the reorganization of the original Sabbath was already underway behind the scenes, and perhaps because of this, 70’s classics such as Into The Void, Symptom Of The Universe, The Wizard, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, which were not performed in the 80’s, were released. One of the characteristics of this tour is that it was the first time in a while that we set up. Furthermore, the SE Fluff after the live performance is recorded endlessly, which is actually very rare (about 1 minute of the vivid conversation inside the venue is also recorded). Newport on April 14th at the beginning of the 1994 UK tour includes an additional 30 minutes of sound check at the leisure center as a bonus track. This is a valuable rehearsal take from the UK tour that took place after the North American and Japan tours. The beginning is Iommi’s guitar check, and the second half is Die Young’s arpeggio. What’s interesting is the next part where the band plays a riff similar to Cardinal Sin’s Kashmir from “Cross Purpose”, which is played with keyboards, and then it transforms into Shining with Iommi’s guitar leading, which is a rare performance. You can listen. In the first place, these two songs were not played on tour, so this is a nice take. Next is Fairies Wear Boots, which was also played on the 1995 tour, but not on the 1994 tour at this point. Following the songs from the 1994 tour, Anno Mundi and Time Machine (each with vocals), they played Voodoo from “Mob Rules” and Dying For Love from “Cross Purpose”, songs they hadn’t performed live. I’m surprised there are. This is a must-listen album for enthusiasts that combines Martin’s live performance at the beginning of the tour with a rare sound check.
