Description

“LIVE EVIL”, “LIVE AT HAMMERSMITH ODEON”, “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL”…A super underground masterpiece is born, on par with the great official masterpieces. The long-standing classic has been updated to its highest peak and has been decided to be released! What is engraved on such a super masterpiece is “Boston performance on August 9, 1992”. This is a superb stereo soundboard recording that records the first act of “DEHUMANIZER TOUR” in which Ronnie James Dio returned. The biggest point of this work is the quality, content, and historical significance that rivals the official work, but first of all, the position of the show. Speaking of “DEHUMANIZER TOUR”, it is also famous for the incident where Ronnie left at the end and Rob Halford of JUDAS PRIEST took part. This is a good opportunity to take a look back at the schedule at the time, including those. [“DEHUMANIZER” released on June 22nd] ・June 23rd – July 4th: South America (9 performances) ・July 24th – August 9th: North America #1 (13 performances) ←★Here★ ・8 September 15th: SUPER ROCK MAIMARKTGELANDE appearance・September 1st-25th: Europe (12 performances)・October 12th-November 13th: North America #2 (24 performances)《November 13th: Ronnie leaves》・November 14th + November 15th: Appeared at Rob and Ozzy’s farewell performance. This is BLACK SABBATH in 1992. A world tour was held for about half a year starting in early summer, and the last two performances were special performances with Rob Halford (you can enjoy them on the definitive edition “DEFINITIVE COSTA MESA 1992”). This work was the main part of the tour that took place much earlier than that, and was the final day concert of “North America #1”, which was about a month and a half after the album was released. Such a show was broadcast on “WESTWOOD ONE” and has produced various previous releases, but this work is the best version. This is a further refinement of the pre-FM master, which was also very popular as the 4-disc set “DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1992 (DISC 3-4)”. Those who are familiar with the 4-disc set may think that there is no room for upgrading the sound, which was in the masterpiece class even in the official level, but the elaborate treatment exceeded that imagination. In fact, the quality is amazing. The main difference is dynamism, but of course they don’t do anything to gain sound pressure. For example, in the case of bass, it organizes the range where the bass and bass drum interfere with each other to improve clarity and separation, and further expands the range in the direction of deep bass. On the other hand, in the case of high-pitched sounds, the outline is kept clear and the sound is extended to the limit where the texture does not change, and the sound is extended to a higher range. As a result, the granularity of the bass has become clearer, and the sound of the vocals has also improved significantly. Of course, each of these was a matter of fine-tuning, but through the accumulation of these fine adjustments, the four parts of the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals were able to remain natural, and their sharpness was greatly improved. What is depicted with such a peak sound of the highest peak update is a full show of “official substitute”. Speaking of Ronnie & Sabbath, in addition to “LIVE EVIL” and “LIVE AT HAMMERSMITH ODEON” from the 1980s, they have perfect official records such as “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL” and “NEON NIGHTS” from the HEAVEN & HELL project, which was reorganized in the 21st century. Many works were left behind. However, only the “DEHUMANIZER TOUR”, which was in between, did not have a full work. This work fills in that missing link. In fact, that set is exclusive to the 90s. Let’s organize it while comparing it with “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL” which was the most comprehensive. 70’s numbers (4 songs), Black Sabbath (★), Paranoid: War Pigs (★) / Iron Man (★) / Paranoid (★) 80’s numbers (5 songs), Heaven & Hell: Children Of The Sea/Die Young/Heaven And Hell/Neon Knights・The Mob Rules Debut Manizer (5 songs)・Computer God/Time Machine (★)/I/Master Of Insanity (★)/After All (The Dead) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL”. …and it looks like this. It includes famous songs from DEHUMANIZER, which was impossible in the 80’s, and also includes numbers from the Ozzy era that were omitted from the HEAVEN & HELL project. Even in terms of songs, “Master Of Insanity”, which is only performed as a performer on this tour, is performed, and it is more than “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL” that shows off the charm of “Sabbath sung by Ronnie”. Moreover, Ronnie’s singing voice is amazing. The HEAVEN & HELL project was Ronnie’s last flower, but its growth and luster could not be hidden. However, this work takes place 15 years earlier. At that time, Ronnie was exactly the same as he was in his heyday, and it was even said that he was “stepping into territory uncharted by mankind.” This work is a full live album where you can fully enjoy the tremendous singing. A full set that is the culmination of “BLACK SABBATH from the Ronnie era,” vocalization at its peak, and a completely official sound that has updated its peak. This is the ultimate 2-disc set that has everything. This is an absolute work that together with the historical masterpieces “LIVE EVIL” and “LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL” form “Ronnie SABBATH’s three great peaks”.
