Description
From the 1992 tour accompanying the release of BLACK SABBATH’s “DEHUMANIZER”, the London “Hammersmith Odeon” performance on September 8th will be released! Surprisingly, only one performance took place in London in 1992. In this work, you can thoroughly enjoy the precious live performance with an excellent audience master! After Ronnie James Dio’s return, Sabbath released “DEHUMANIZER” in June 1992, and began a world tour in South America at the end of June. From July to early August, we held the first leg of our American tour. Sabbath, who briefly ended their North American tour with the August 9th performance in Boston, Massachusetts (included in “DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1992”), performed at the German version of “Monsters of Rock” held in Mannheim on August 15th. After that, we started a UK tour starting with the Newcastle performance on September 1st. The ’92 UK tour had a total of 7 performances, but for some reason the number of items was small, and the Birmingham performance on September 5th was known as “BIRMINGHAM GOD”. Furthermore, in the 1980s, it was common to perform 3 or 4 times in a row at London’s “Hammersmith Odeon”, but at this time only one performance was held. In this work, the valuable “Hammersmith Odeon” performance of “only one performance” is completely recorded from the audience master provided by overseas tapers! Everyone who listens to it will be surprised, wondering, “Why is this a gift!?” Not only is the performance by a full-fledged band, but also the excellent sound. If you’re a Sabbath fanatic, this is definitely one you can’t miss! Although there is an analog feel peculiar to tape recording, the outlook of the sound itself and the balance of musical tones are good. The perfect atmosphere, spread of sound, and sense of unity with the audience are unique to the traditional venue “Hammersmith Odeon” (another feature is that the shouts and voices of the audience are almost unnoticeable). There are no peak overs or distortions, and you can enjoy the live performance with an easy-to-listen sound from beginning to end. Active songs such as “The Mob Rules” and “Time Machine” are also worth listening to, but the sound of this recording is even more appealing in melodic scenes such as the middle part of “Computer God” and “Children Of The Sea”. You can feel it. Since it was a London performance with only one performance, the performance of Ronnie as well as Iommi and the rest of the band was more enthusiastic than usual, and you can hear the passionate performance of every song. Among them, Sabbath classics such as “War Pigs” with Geezer’s powerful bass and “Iron Man” with Vinnie’s impressive drumming are must-listen parts. The 10 minutes of “Heaven And Hell” where all the members play fills the listening room is a masterpiece! The encore songs “Neon Knights” and “Paranoid” got the fans in the venue excited. This is the traditional “Hammersmith Odeon” live! The live performance at London’s “Hammersmith Odeon” was very special for Ronnie.
