Description
Two previously unknown 1971 California treasured masters are discovered at the same time! What was discovered this time are two original cassettes by California recording artist Robert Rich. This work is an excellent audience recording of the second of them, “September 25, 1971 Long Beach Performance”. The two works that will be released simultaneously this week are both “1971”, but the timing is about 7 months apart, and this work is one act of the “MASTER OF REALITY Tour”. Let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the show’s position. 1971 “MASTER OF REALITY Tour”・July 1st-31st: North America #1 (29 performances) ←※BEGGARS’ BANQUET DANCE・September 4th-7th: Europe #1 (3 performances)・September 10 Sunday – October 28th: North America #2 (23 performances) ←★Here★ 1972, January 24th – February 24th: Europe #2 (22 performances), March 1st – April 2nd: North America #3 (31 performances)《Produced “VOL.4” in May》The “PARANOID Tour” up to April 1971 is referred to “L.A. FORUM 1971” which was released at the same time, but here we will introduce the “MASTER OF REALITY Tour”. I have summarized the whole picture. After this, May 1972 was devoted to the production of “VOL.4”, and the tour resumed at the end of June. “VOL.4” is known as an album with a lot of experimentation, such as being self-produced for the first time, recorded in the United States, and introduced a keyboard, but it also breaks new ground in the sense that it is “the first album made in an environment separate from touring.” That’s why. Quiet talk. Speaking of the masterpiece of “MASTER OF REALITY Tour” where there is no sound board, it is the famous album “BEGGARS’ BANQUET DANCE 1971”, but the Long Beach performance of this work is another leg about two months later. This was the 6th concert of “North America #2”. And this is the first time you can listen to this show. There was a separate recording of “L.A. FORUM 1971” released at the same time, but this is a completely new show that no one has ever heard. The sound that conveys such a show is also exquisite. Like “L.A. FORUM 1971”, this work is also digitized directly from Robert Rich’s original master, but the tendency of the sound is quite different. While “L.A. FORUM 1971″ had a powerful and pushing sound, this work is a beautiful recording with excellent balance and a neat sound. It’s not as close as “L.A. FORUM 1971,” but it’s not far off either. To put it in perspective, if the sister work has a zero-distance feeling like a direct-to-table soundboard, this work is like an FM soundboard that reproduces the mood of a concert venue. A slight hall sound brings the whole thing together, and a crisp core jumps into your ears. It is a masterpiece recording for everyone, and it is a new masterpiece that is as good as that famous album “BEGGARS’ BANQUET DANCE 1971”. What is depicted with its elegant sound is a gorgeous full show that also completes the “SABBATH sound”. BLACK SABBATH established its individuality with the first three albums, and started experimenting with “VOL.4”, and this work is a concentrated reduction of those initial three albums. Let’s organize the set here. Black Sabbath (2 songs), N.I.B./Wicked World Paranoid (4 songs), War Pigs/Iron Man/Paranoid/Fairies Wear Boots Master of Reality (2 songs + α), Sweet Leaf/Embryo/Children of the Grave… And it looks like this. From the first three discs, they have been played in large quantities even during the later reunion era, and the most representative songs are listed here. From today’s point of view, it’s hard to believe that the business card song “Black Sabbath” has dropped out of the set, but this was also possible at the time when new songs were being created one after another (by the way, “Black Sabbath” will be revived next. It was February 1974, when the “SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH Tour” was in its second half. And the chlorine woman who spins that set is amazing! Although BLACK SABBATH has been outstanding since their debut, the level of growth that they have achieved is remarkable because of the number of times they have played. The four’s breathing has reached the level where they can synchronize without a trigger, and the jam that instantly loosens up and scatters sparks without touching is also amazing. Above all, the large-scale groove that has spread all over the world is also extremely strong. It is a live album where you can experience the most delicious ensemble that has matured but does not get used to it. The trilogy “BLACK SABBATH”, “PARANOID”, and “MASTER OF REALITY” invented a groundbreaking heavy sound that rewrote the history of rock and dominated their own lives. You can experience a full stage performance that condenses the best masterpieces into one show, while preserving the potential of the band that created those three works. This work is a piece that overflows and overflows with such real pleasure. The climax of BLACK SABBATH suddenly revived on Earth 50 years later. Exquisite audience recording of “September 25, 1971 Long Beach Performance”. This masterpiece was digitized from the original cassette recorded by Robert Rich himself, and the sound is extremely beautiful. While the slight hall sound brings the whole thing together, the core that runs through the middle of the sound jumps into your ears with a clear and vivid sound. It is a shocking new masterpiece that allows you to fully experience a show that has never been recorded before, with a sound that is as good as that famous album “BEGGARS’ BANQUET DANCE 1971”.
