Description
The live performance of “TECHNICAL ECSTASY”, a hidden masterpiece of the late 70’s original BLACK SABBATH, was held in Fresno, California on November 9, 1976 during the American tour, and on April 21, 1977 at the end of the European tour. Excellent audience recordings of the Sweden Rand performances have been preserved, and both are must-hear sources for fans. After listening to them, I would like to recommend this work to those who want to delve deeper into live performances. This work “TECHNICAL ZOMBIE” is the 10th performance in Brussels, Belgium on April 16th from the European tour that was held for about one month from April 5th, 1977 after the end of the “TECHNICAL ECSTASY” UK tour. , it was made into a disc using the original master cassette, which had never been available among traders until then. There is some tape deterioration in the middle of “Snowblind,” and there are cuts in the ending part and drum solo intro of “Dirty Women” due to tape changes, but other than that, the sound is highly stable and well-balanced. It is recorded in , allowing fans to relive the precious concert. During the performance, the audience noise such as the screams of the audience is almost unnoticeable, allowing the listener to listen to the performance from the first half of the live performance such as “Symptom Of The Universe”, “Snowblind”, “War Pigs” etc. . “Symptom Of The Universe” and “Snowblind”, which decorate the early stages of the live show, are especially great to listen to, and with Ozzy’s high-tension screams and the sharp yet sticky guitar tone, it even feels like you’re listening to a line-up sound source. I remember. Unfortunately, “All Moving Parts (Stand Still)”, which was played on the American tour in 1976, has already been dropped from the set, but songs such as “Gypsy”, “Dirty Women” and “Dirty Women” from the then new album “TECHNICAL ECSTASY” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Doctor” is featured. “Dirty Women” and its medley “Rock ‘N’ Roll Doctor” continued to be played on the ’78 tour, but “Gypsy” was not featured after the ’77 tour (even after the original reunion). Since it is not, all existing live takes can be said to be valuable. Furthermore, “Electric Funeral”, a song from “PARANOID”, which is featured in the second half of the “Dirty Women” medley, and “N.I.B.”, which is led from the bass intro, are great listening points. These revived early heavy numbers are also a feature of the “TECHNICAL ECSTASY” tour. It takes a total of 74 minutes until the live closes with “Paranoid”, and the entire length is highly stable and cohesive, allowing you to enjoy the masterpieces unique to late original SABBATH. This work can be said to be a particularly high-ranking material among the live sound sources of the various well-known “TECHNICAL ECSTASY” tours, and is one of the sources that fans who have taken a step forward should definitely enjoy.
