What a shock… The best video of heavyweight BLACK SABBATH has been significantly upgraded… No, this is not just an upgrade. An unexpected new discovery of the “original version” that was not even rumored to exist. The most important historical work has been decided to be released urgently! [Original broadcast 16mm film of Sabbath No. 1 footage] The most important footage is the multi-camera professional shot of the “October 3, 1970 Brussels performance”. For many people, it may be better to say “Paris 70″. Throughout its long history, it has been misunderstood as Paris, but it has become a symbol of “When you think of early SABBATH, this is it!”. Not only has he produced countless existing releases since the VHS era, but he has also released official releases such as “THE BLACK SABBATH STORY, VOL.1”, “DON’T BLAME ME”, “PAST LIVES”, and the super deluxe edition of “PARANOID”. A classic among the classics that has been used in works… no, it is the most classic video. It is truly the “No. 1 video in the entire history of BLACK SABBATH,” and this work is its highest peak. Of course, it has been upgraded countless times over its long history, but this time it’s different. It is something different from the beginning. In fact, the only thing known until now was that it was broadcast on the British Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television program “ROCK OF THE SEVENTIES.” However, the original broadcast was not actually in the UK, but in Belgium, where the live performance took place. It was the music program “POP SHOP” on public broadcaster RTB. And this work is the “POP SHOP” broadcast version. Moreover, it was digitized directly from the original 16mm film. The “original”, which until now only had a name in the documents, has finally seen the light of day. [Longer than before and with the highest quality ever] The shocking original version also had different content. The structure of the full show divided into two broadcasts (January 21, 1971 and April 4, 1971; there is also a theory that the former was “January 28”) and camera allocation are the same, but the editing is different. It’s longer than any previous Yorkshire TV show. Although the cleaning scene at the beginning (where Ozzy brushes his teeth with a deck brush) is about 5 seconds shorter than Yorkshire TV, everything else in this movie is longer. Yorkshire TV quickly switched to “Iron Man” with a still image of the logo in between after the performance of “Rat Salad”, but in this work, filming proceeded as it was on the scene, and the scene transitioned naturally from about 15 seconds of realistic audience scenes. I’m going. Furthermore, there was no English announcement at the ending of the two broadcasts, and backstage footage was shown for about 10 seconds each. It is important that it is only a few tens of seconds long because it is a historical video, but what is even more shocking is the quality. The highest peak master so far is the “THE OZZY OSBOURNE YEARS: ULTIMATE EDITION” version, but this work is even more beautiful! The visual beauty of “ULTIMATE EDITION” is even better than the official version (even now), but the texture of her skin is strangely smooth, as if she’s been smeared with foundation. Still, it was the highest quality, and I had come to think that the quality of the shooting was that kind of quality in the first place, but in reality it was not. In this film, Ozzy has rough, acne-like skin, and Iommi’s arm hair and dirt on his finger cots are clearly visible. Furthermore, there are no dubbing marks, which was a fate. Although I think it is natural because it is made from the original 16 mm film, there is no tape twist or white line noise that was seen here and there even in “ULTIMATE EDITION”. The beauty and realism of an original film fills the screen. In fact, in the second half of the show (the second part of the two-part broadcast), there are some scenes that are slightly reddish, but this is not a sign of deterioration. Due to the multi-camera cuts, the normal color and reddish color are quickly switched, and you can tell that the original broadcast had this color (it is easy to change the color tone, but we have preserved it permanently according to the historical truth). Of course, the first half is all in normal color, and the second half also has a reddish tint only in some angles. [A live album with a stereo impact soundboard is also included] The visual beauty is eye-opening, but the biggest upgrade is actually the audio. This is something completely different! The highest peak so far in terms of video was “ULTIMATE EDITION”, but the highest peak in terms of audio was the CD that came with the super deluxe edition of the official work “PARANOID”. However, this “POP SHOP” film easily surpasses even the official CD. Above all, the mix is completely different. The sound of the UK Yorkshire TV version was flat and monaural, and it was the same for both “PAST LIVES” and “PARANOID” Super Dera Eddy. Although the “POP SHOP” broadcast version is also monaural, it is clear that the original was a stereo sound board. The core, which used to be flat, has a three-dimensional feel, giving the ensemble depth and creating a beautiful sense of separation. This is completely speculation, but the original Belgian broadcast converted the stereo sound to monaural, and Yorkshire TV in the UK may have remixed it to make it more monaural. Furthermore, the freshness has also reached its highest peak. Even the official Super Dera Eddy CD had some deterioration in the latter half, and I could feel the distortion as if it had been created from an mp3. However, “POP SHOP” film has no such deterioration. The glossy and three-dimensional sound is unwavering from beginning to end. It would be a waste to leave such a shocking sound board only as an accessory to professional shots. We want you to enjoy the upgrade that goes beyond the visuals…so we’ve also included a soundtrack CD with the audio as a live album. Moreover, this is not just a sound reduction, but a widening with pseudo stereo. The original sound board has a stereo-like mix, so there is no discomfort in the sound space. Rather, the stereo sound at the time of filming must have been like this…The result is a live album with such a convincing and natural feel. Although the pro shot DVD is the main character of this work, this live album itself is a soundboard album comparable to SABBATH’s best masterpiece in history, “DEFINITIVE MONTREUX 1970”. BLACK SABBATH’s most classic and most important professional shot apex album. This is the ultimate quality version digitized from the original 16mm film of “POP SHOP”. Although the video has been upgraded countless times over the years, this work is the original, and there is nothing better than it. It is truly a world heritage site of rock, and one of the pinnacle works of BLACK SABBATH. Until now, it was the Yorkshire rebroadcast version in the UK, and this time it was the original Belgian broadcast version (some editing was different). Both the picture quality and sound quality are better this time, especially the sound is definitely better. The white line noise that was included in places such as Black Sabbath It’s great that there isn’t.
