Description
A masterpiece live album from the greatest “secret” in the history of Sabbath. The secret is “TYR TOUR 1990”. Yes, it is the tour of the dramatic SABBATH masterpiece album. SABBATH collectors may be thinking, “I haven’t heard much of the TYR tour…” The “HEADLESS CROSS TOUR” with the same members has a powerful pro shot, but this tour has not even a pro shot, not even a sound board… no, not even a single song. The misfortune so far is a match for “THE ETERNAL IDOL TOUR”. To understand the reason, first take a look at the overview of “TYR TOUR 1990”. “TYR” released on August 6th, September 1st-13th: UK (10 shows), September 25th-November 7th: Europe #1 (30 shows), November 24th-28th: Europe #2 (4 shows), December: Geezer Butler returns. That’s a total of 44 shows over about three months. They didn’t go to Japan, let alone the US, and finished quietly in Europe. It was too lonely to call it a world tour. The reason for this was simply the lack of popularity. Even in their home country of the UK, six shows were canceled due to distrust of tickets. For Japanese people who continue to love the masterpiece “TYR”, it’s an unbelievable fact (Oh, if only they could come to Japan!). The “HEADLESS CROSS TOUR” was still focusing on a new start with new members, so the sound board and pro shots remained, but the “TYR TOUR” did not even have that, and it became the biggest sound source barren area in Sabbath history. This work is a masterpiece born from such a “secret place”. It is a live album of “Innsbruck performance (Austria) on October 9, 1990”. Our shop has reported on masterpieces such as “FIRST TYR” and “TYR U.K.”, but all of them are “UK legs” at the beginning of the tour. In contrast, the Innsbruck performance of this work is the 11th performance of “Europe # 1”. It is a concert exactly in the middle of the short “TYR TOUR”. The quality of such a work is a truly wonderful odins sound. Although it is not the type that you would call “like a sound board”, the musical tone is bold and tough. At first glance, it is as clear as a radio broadcast in the 1980s. The studio works “HEADLESS CROSS” and “TYR” created a cool mood with delay sounds, so to be honest, it is a strong sound that reaches you with a straight ball, so much so that you think “It might have been better if there was a little more distance”. The show depicted by that sound is a continuation of that wonderful “HEADLESS SABBATH”. What’s especially nice is the numbers “The Sabbath Stones”, “The Law Maker” and “Anno Mundi” from the masterpiece “TYR”! The coolness of the popular song “The Law Maker”, which runs with a dignified tone, is already, already, already!! A masterpiece among masterpieces that runs with “The Cozy” beat and Tony Martin’s unique majestic melody. “Anno Mundi” was also performed on the later “CROSS PURPOSES TOUR”, but it can only be brought out by Cozy. Why, why did they go into a slump while creating such a masterpiece? Furthermore, “The Sabbath Stones” is the pinnacle of Sabbath-style stylistic beauty that cuts into the heart. The compatibility of the heavy Iommi riff and Cozy’s crisp drums is unprecedented, and it exudes a stoicism different from the Renaissance music of RAINBOW, and a dignity like Greek architecture. In particular, the last part develops into a fast one with a bass drum like a heavy tank. It is a great masterpiece that makes Cozy shine to the fullest, while being connected to the lineage of the great songs “Black Sabbath” and “Heaven And Hell”. BLACK SABBATH depicts the world of that wonderful super masterpiece “TYR” on stage. Of course, it is heavy because it is Sabbath, but the “heavy” of this work is not “extremely heavy” but “heavy” of “heavy”. I don’t call it a pro shot. At least if they left the sound board… The show packed in this work is so powerful that even the complaints that are not in the commentary of the audience album come to mind. A living witness of the precious “TYR TOUR”. Live at Olympiahalle, Innsbruck, Austria 9th October 1990 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (59:33) 1. Intro: Ave Satani/The Gates Of Hell 2.
