Description

THE BLACK CROWES’s superb Live in Japan CD series has been very well received. The latest release is here. This work contains the performance at Osaka Welfare Pension Hall on July 31, 2001. They made a big splash with their collaboration with Jimmy Page, and returned to Japan with their masterpiece “LIONS”. This work is a masterpiece of 100% real sound that represents 2001. First, let’s check the position of this Osaka performance on the schedule. ・July 25: Shibuya Public Hall ・July 27: Shibuya Public Hall ・July 29: Nagoya Labor Hall ・July 30: Zepp Fukuoka ・July 31: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall [This work] That’s a total of five performances. The Osaka performance in this work is the last day. They stopped their activities in 2002, but this was the “last Live in Japan” that was realized before that. This work, which contains such a performance in Osaka, is a superb audience album. Some people may think, “What is an audience?” because we have delivered an amazing stereo sound board directly connected to the table, but this work is different from the usual customer record. The person who made this work is a legendary recording artist who was a master in Osaka in the 1990s. Our shop has made this recording artist’s collection into a series of CDs, and the lineup is super strong. To name a few…RAINBOW’s “OSAKA 1995 1ST NIGHT”, AC/DC’s “OSAKA 2001”, RICHIE SAMBORA’s “UNDISCOVERED SOUL IN OSAKA”, and many other masterpieces and hits. This recording artist is characterized by a very recent sound that can only be described as “like a sound board”, and the guitar sound in particular is amazing. The other day, SYKES’s “OSAKA 1998” and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN’s “OSAKA 2002” were also highly praised. This is the latest in the collection of such masters, and is a superb live album where you can enjoy bluesy and sticky guitar to your heart’s content. In fact, the sound of this work is abnormal. Since it uses the master’s original master, it is definitely an audience recording, but if you listen to it without knowing anything, you can only think of it as a sound board. The sound is super clear and vivid, which is not inferior to the leaked sound boards introduced so far by the people involved. Moreover, the cheers spread beyond the performance, and the directness and balance make you want to ask, “Did you put a microphone in the middle of the stage?” The 2001 show, which is depicted with such quality, is also incredibly “dense”. In fact, it was before the band stopped activities, but it’s hard to believe that they were such a band. A total of 19 songs will be performed, with the central axis being the latest work at the time, “LIONS”. 8 out of the 13 songs on the album will be played on a grand scale. There is also the official live album “LIVE” at this time, but there are many songs that cannot be heard there. There are actually 9 songs in total. Half of the show is a different repertoire from “LIVE”, including the new songs “Come On”, “Losing My Mind”, and “Young Man Old Man” from “LIONS”. Furthermore, these new songs are even more amazing than the album. “LIONS” became a hot topic for its rich (too rich?) sound, but while maintaining its “richness”, it is topped off with plenty of “momentum” and “heat” unique to the stage. If the album is a rich “rockin’ blues juice”, it is a show full of dynamism that spews that special juice with a water cannon. Not only as a single live album, but also as a collection of the finest Japanese performance series and a complement to the official live album “LIVE”, it is the best two-disc set. A masterpiece of an audience album that is as good as the leaked sound board of the people involved. Blues & rock that is exposed with 100% of its original sound. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content. Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan 31st July 2001 ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1(60:48) 1. Intro. 2. Midnight From The Inside Out 3.
