Description
From the large-scale US tour accompanying “River Of Dreams” released in 1993, which is Billy’s last studio album, New York will completely record the Syracuse performance on November 13th with the finest soundboard recording. Since the cheers between songs can only be heard faintly, it is easy to see that it is a monaural sound board sound source that is clearly leaked from the mixing desk, but the freshness of the sound is outstanding. You can ask for the entire show with a perfect high-quality line recording that is almost too real. The show, which was accompanied by the usual solid backing team, was a great listen from beginning to end. The balance, depth of sound, and band performance are all superb. You can enjoy a huge entertainment show with the best sound ever, as if you were watching a high-quality blockbuster movie. From their new album, they performed The River of Dreams, which became a No. 3 single hit in the US, the soothing Lullabye, and the dynamic No Man’s Land. The performances by the band members with outstanding technique are also truly wonderful, especially Mark Rivera’s saxophone play on New York State Of Mind and Scenes from an Italian Restaurant. The accordion-featuring Downeaster Alexa and the moving Goodnight Saigon are among the highlights in the middle of the album. Before New York State Of Mind, he said, “Please don’t drive home drunk after a show,” and “I paid more for the ticket than I actually paid for it.” You can also hear Billy’s unique MC saying, “I’m really sorry if there are people out there.” (It’s also fun to see keyboard noise in the second half of Summer, Highland Falls, and Billy’s exaggerated reaction after the performance, saying, “What’s that!?”) Because it was completely recorded directly from the desk, the encore last part was completely recorded directly from the desk. In Piano Man, there are some parts where you’ll think, “Huh?”, such as the scene where the moving chorus is actually a scene, but the sound is just that good, so it’s a must-listen for fans, and it’s sure to be very satisfying. This is a great take. It’s truly a piece that will last a lifetime. Live at Carrier Dome, Syracuse, New York, USA 13th November 1993 SBD Disc 1(73:54) 1. A Matter Of Trust 2. No Man’s Land 3.
