Description

The latest live 2025 2-disc set of Time Machine, a legendary unit active in the 1970s, formed by Cobham with Randy Brecker and Will Lee, original members of Dreams, has been released as an ultra-high quality audience recording. With Oz Ezzeldin on keyboards, Marshall Gilkes on trombone, and Brandon Wilkins on sax, they appeared at the Blue Note in New York from March 18th to March 23rd, and became a big topic on American jazz internet. The live released this time is the live on the last day of the show. The opening started with “Panhandler” picked from the album “Funky Side of Things” released in 1975, and “A Little Travelin’ Music” and “Moon Germs” were reproduced in succession, and the excitement of the venue was already at full throttle! The second half started with Cobham’s drum solo as an intro and the masterpiece “Stratos” from the masterpiece album “Spectrum” released in 1973. The six-member ensemble you can hear here has a groove that is reminiscent of those days. The final song was “Tinseltown,” which was met with a standing ovation, and the encore ended with the classic “Red Baron,” making this a live performance that will make any funk fusion fan drool.
