Description

Bernie Marsden’s latest live recording will be released as an original digital master provided by overseas tapers! In this work, Bernie’s solo live held in Milton Keynes, England on November 17, 2013 is recorded from the master, which is not available among traders or even on the internet. In addition to Bernie’s original songs, the long-awaited WHITESNAKE number, and delicious blues classics, it’s 100 minutes that will let you enjoy 120% of Bernie’s charm! Since 2011, Bernie Marsden has once again been attracting the attention of WHITESNAKE fans. In June 2011, Bernie appeared as a guest on WHITESNAKE’s stage at the “Sweden Rock Festival” and performed with David Coverdale for the first time in about 30 years, and then appeared at WHITESNAKE’s live show in the UK in 2013. Both were special surprises and became a hot topic among fans. Furthermore, it is reported that Coverdale will appear as a guest on Barney’s new album (currently titled “SHINE”), which he is currently working on, and that he has remade the early WHITESNAKE classic “Trouble.” I can’t take my eyes off it. The live performance that Bernie performed at the “Stable Theater” in Milton Keynes, England on November 17th of this year will be released as an original digital master for the first time! Backed by support members with reliable skills, the audience will be able to enjoy the many songs played on the guitar, which has never faded, with excellent sound. When the disc was played, Bernie appeared, surrounded by applause from the audience who had been looking forward to the live performance. This recording also captures this situation with ultra-clear and realistic sound. If you close your eyes and listen to the sounds, you’ll feel like you’re actually at the venue. The performance started with “Queen of the Dance Floor” and “Funny People” from Bernie’s 2005 solo album “STACKS”. While deeply rooted in blues standards, the guitar tone and keyboard are reminiscent of early WHITESNAKE. In the third song, “Down Home Blues” (Z.Z. Hill cover), female vocalist Cherry Mae Mewis performs a soulful vocal. Together with Barney’s guitar, the venue will be filled with a sound that blues fans will love. Next up is Percy Mayfield’s cover “Send Me Someone to Love”, also from “STACKS”. Once again, Cherry Mae Mewis’ singing is amazing. The laid-back atmosphere in a good way and the exquisite tone of the guitar should make the listener feel comfortable and immersed in the sound. Following Bernie’s MC conversation with the audience, there were three songs in a row: the lighthearted “Working for the CSA,” the bright yet melodious instrumental “Strictly Latino,” and the deep “Bad Blood.” “Working for the CSA” in particular is filled with a fun mood. This will dispel the general impression that blues is dark. On the second half of the live disc, Bernie’s “STACKS”, “Gone Gone Gone” and “Place in my Heart” appear again. The former is light and powerful, while the latter has a “crying” style reminiscent of Gary Moore, each captivating the listener. Following “Key to the Highway” is the WHITESNAKE number that fans have been waiting for! “Fool For Your Loving” is also sung by Cherry Mae Mewis, and her gorgeous and powerful singing voice is amazing! Bernie’s guitar and backing are played in the “authentic version” from 1980, which will greatly please fans of the “Classic Snake” era! For the encore, “Loved Another Woman” appeared from the MC named after Bernie’s Peter Green. Here too, the play is reminiscent of Gary Moore, and the listener enjoys the sound that penetrates into their hearts. The last song is another WHITESNAKE number, “Here I Go Again.” Bernie is very active in singing and playing the guitar, closing the show in a great mood. Although they are not as flashy as the current David Coverdale or WHITESNAKE, their live sound is calm and tasteful, yet thrills the listener. Even if there aren’t many songs that metal fans know, the mood will definitely entertain you. Approximately 100 minutes of Ibushi Gin will make enthusiasts exclaim, “This is Bernie Marsden!” Please take this opportunity to enjoy the gem live performance that can only be enjoyed in this work!
