Description

The only studio album was released, and the performance at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on April 26th was recorded almost completely from the recently excavated audience master from the 1973 North American tour, which was just three weeks before Beck’s first visit to Japan. First of all, the original audience master owned by Taper was released this time, and it saw the light of day. It is almost fully recorded up to the end of the encore, the sound balance is good, and each part is recorded all on, so you can fully enjoy the pleasure of the trio. And the playing of the three is spectacular, from Jeff’s versatile playing to Tim Bogard’s powerful bass and Carmine’s heavy and destructive drums, starting with “Superstition” using a talking modulator, and then Beck’s playing backed by Bogard’s heavy bass is wonderful in “Livin’ Alone”. After that, they played four songs from their just-released first album, from the lyrical “I’m So Proud” to the unison-driven “Lady.” After that, they played some numbers from the first and second periods, and continued to play some amazing music, starting with “Plynth,” sung alternately by Carmine and Bogart, and ending with Beck’s show with “Shotgun” and “Jeff’s Boogie.” In any case, the performance was more exciting than the official live performance in Japan, and it is a must-listen item for fans who want to hear the definitive BB&A live performance at the peak of their career. 01.
