Description
The 1966 American compilation album “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” by The Beatles is well known for its legendary banned artwork “Butcher Cover”. In 2014, the album was released on CD in a paper jacket that was a reduced version of the cover in the “US BOX”, but the contents were a mere reuse of the 2009 remaster. Even if you’re not a fan, it’s natural to want to listen to the original sound source that contains the unique mix heard in the American edition of The Beatles. Especially when it’s Butcher. So this time we have prepared a super convenient item that couples the mono and stereo versions of “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” on one disc. The original was the Remasters Workshop version, and RMW is amazing. They didn’t try to cover up the sound source with the current CD sound source, and both versions were properly traced from the original analog. What’s amazing is the clear finish. For example, the mono version of “Dr. Robert” is well known for its unique mix in which you can faintly hear John’s “OK herb” at the end of the performance, but even if you turn up the volume to hear that scene, there is no needle sound, which is surprising. This alone will make you realize how carefully RMW traced the LP. As this is one of the most popular American edited albums, the nostalgic Dr. Ebbetts also released this album, but RMW’s clean finish is no less. Thanks to this, you can easily compare the difference between the mono and stereo versions of “I’m Only Sleeping,” which has a different mix from the UK version, so it’s extremely convenient. I would recommend turning up the volume on your speakers and enjoying this. The official paper jacket release was a disappointment for enthusiasts around the world, but the content was cut corners on the CD version of the Capitol edited version. On the other hand, it is extremely difficult to find vintage analogs from that time, especially American versions, in clean condition, so this is a literally useful piece that allows you to easily enjoy both mono and stereo “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” on CD. Of course, the jacket is a Butcher cover, so it is convenient to easily enjoy that legendary banned jacket. This is the easy Butcher! THE BEATLES – YESTERDAY AND TODAY: MONO & STEREO (53:52) MONO 01.
