This CD features a recently unearthed, completely unreleased soundboard recording of The Beatles’ June 25th concert in Essen, Germany, just before their 1966 Nippon Budokan performance. Approximately one week before their legendary Japan tour, the band performed in three German cities—Munich, Essen, and Hamburg—from June 24th to 26th. While the full three-day concert has only recently been unearthed and audio recordings have been released, the middle day of the tour, June 25th, saw the light of day on a soundboard recording of the evening performance. While audience sources for the afternoon performance have existed, the quality is on a completely different level from this soundboard recording. Above all, the opportunity to listen to the full live performance with the exact same set as those five Budokan performances in this quality is of immeasurable value. In the second half, a bonus performance from Bournemouth, UK on August 21, 1963, which was also discovered in 2025 and became a hot topic, was added as an audience source released online, making this a must-have limited edition collector’s edition for fans. 01.
