[The Beatles VI, an original album edited by Capitol in the United States] The Beatles VI was released in June 1965 as an album edited by Capitol in the United States. The title “VI” refers to their sixth album since “Meet the Beatles”, but it is their ninth album if you include “Introducing the Beatles”, their debut album in the US released by VJ Records, the soundtrack “A Hard Day’s Night” released by United Artists, and the documentary album “The Beatles Story”. The jacket design and track list are unique to Capitol USA, and include six songs from the British album “Beatles for Sale” that were not included in “Beatles ’65”, as well as the album “Help!”, which had not yet been released in the UK at the time. This disc includes early access to “You Like Me Too Much,” “Dizzy Miss Lizzy,” and “Tell Me What You See” from “Oldies” (released in the UK on August 6th 1965), as well as “Yes It Is,” the B-side of the single “Ticket to Ride,” and the unreleased track “Bad Boy,” which would later appear on “Oldies” in the UK (released in the UK on December 10th 1966). “Yes It Is” was only released as a single in the UK, and there was no other album version of the song, so when this album was released in Japan it was a rare release that includes “Yes It Is”! ” was the selling point on the obi. Shortly after the album’s release, on August 15, 1965, they held a concert at Shea Stadium, which drew the largest audience in history, and the album topped the Billboard album charts for six consecutive weeks. It was later certified platinum, having sold over one million copies. CD = Original Capitol Masters (Stereo & Mono) Contains analog master sound sources that faithfully reproduce each stereo/mono track from the original 1965 album edited by Capitol in the United States. The direct transfer sound source from the original 1960s version has been newly remastered to remove the noise unique to records and restore the powerful and dynamic sound unique to the American version of the time. As with previous releases, this is a unique edit for the US market, and while the six tracks from “Beatles for Sale” have the same American mix in stereo, the three tracks “Kansas City – Hey Hey Hey Hey”, “What You Are Doing” and “Every Little Thing” have Capitol’s unique echo-processed American mix. In addition, three tracks from the British album “Help!”, which we obtained in advance of its release in the UK, can be listened to in stereo mixes from the analog era, which are different from the current remastered CD sound source. “Bad Boy,” which we also obtained in advance, has the same mix in both stereo and mono as the British version, but “Yes It Is” only had a mono mix at the time, and the stereo version was recorded in Capitol’s unique duophonic (pseudo stereo). The pseudo stereo version was still used in the Capitol edited album “Love Songs,” released in 1977, and the real stereo mix was recorded for the first time in 1988 on “Past Masters.” All 22 tracks from the album, including those with the same mix as the British original, are recorded in stereo and mono, faithfully reproducing the texture unique to analog, with analog master sound sources different from the current digital remasters. DVD = Video Album/Audio Album The video album contains all 11 tracks from “The Beatles VI” in original edited video footage. It is composed of TV shows and news footage in the form of a promotional video, and includes a color version using AI technology from the monochrome footage of the Shindig TV broadcast “Kansas City – Hey Hey Hey Hey” and an original edited version that makes full use of footage from the Shea Stadium performance, which is well known as a historical record. The audio is also a video album that visualizes all the songs recorded on “The Beatles VI” in the latest 2024 edit using the “New Stereo Remix” sound source by the latest AI demix. In addition, as an audio album, all 11 songs on “The Beatles VI” are recorded with three different sound source sources. This is a slide show format and includes three types of sound sources: the latest “New Stereo Remix” and the original “Stereo Mix” and “Mono Mix” from the 1960s. Even during playback, you can switch the audio by audio selection, so you can compare the differences in each mix.
