The eighth installment of the popular “spectral stereo demix” series! This time, it’s SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. Following HELP!, this is the first time we’ve stereo demixed Sgt. Peppers! If you’re wondering why we’re stereo demixing Sgt. Peppers, we’ll explain. It’s because the 50th anniversary remix of that album was a disappointment to fans. They were hoping for a modern stereo, but it ended up being a remix that was closer to a “mono” sound. Fans were hoping for a separated sound like this one. Stereo demixes are popular, but here comes the first demixed version of SGT. Peppers LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND! Of course, the sound quality is the best, and you can enjoy the reborn stereo version. In addition to all the songs on the album, a total of 30 songs including singles, different versions, and outtakes are stereoized. What surprised me personally was the last track on CD2, “Penny Lane (with trumpet flourish),” which contains the trumpet ending from the famous official DJ promo mix record. This track is included on the deluxe version of the official release, but as you know, it was a transcribed version. What’s more, the sound quality is poor… What’s included here is not even a transcribed version, and the sound quality is far better than the original track, which is surprising!
