Description

The Beatles’ last live performance, ROOFTOP CONCERT, has been compiled so that you can enjoy it as a live album with the longest length and ultra-high sound quality. ROOFTOP by Yellow Dog, released nearly 30 years ago, attempted to capture the whole picture of ROOFTOP as a pure live album rather than a documentary using sound sources other than the soundtrack of the movie LET IT BE. This is an old masterpiece produced using mono Nagra sound sources, but the problem was that the sound quality was far from the quality of the movie soundtrack. Also, when GET BACK was distributed last year, many fans seemed to be quite satisfied, but ROOFTOP was naturally edited in documentary format rather than pure live scenes (it is fully understandable that a documentary format is necessary to express the negotiations with the police). However, the need to purely enjoy the live performance itself was not met. Therefore, this work uses the latest Blue Soap Stereo sound source as a complement based on multi-tracks, and has been completed as a perfect live album with ultra-high sound quality that does not feel any compression in the low range. In addition, to reduce the slight discomfort felt in the multi-track (= a point slightly different from the mix we were used to listening to), we carefully performed some digital remastering with a sense of correction. In addition, this time, we re-edited each of the best sound sources in the past and produced another version, although it is 29 minutes long. We used the MFSL LP sound source, the EU press NAKED LP sound source, the EU press Anthology 3 LP sound source, and the soundtrack of the movie LET IT BE (unreleased) by Ron Furmanek, remastered in 1992. This one does not use any Nagra sound sources and has a familiar mix with super high sound quality. LIVE AT THE APPLE ROOFTOP is a compilation of these two ultimate versions on one CD. We are confident that this will meet the needs of everyone who wants to play it out of their speakers at a high volume as a live album. Based on multi-track, the longest version and super high sound quality rooftop concert reconstructed with the much talked about Blue Soap Stereo sound source as a supplementary sound source! The concept was to carefully consider and capture the essence of a live album, while aiming for the highest audio quality and a complete version (46 minutes). The bonus track is a 29-minute version that makes full use of high-quality analog sound sources from the past!
